11/13/2009: Video Recap: Give Galveston a Hand

09/28/2009: Grassland and Dune Restoration

As we get closer and prepare to Give Galveston a Hand, some have asked what exactly we will be doing.  Volunteers will be planting 1 gallon grasses and flowers into the prairie to help re-vegetate with native plants. The work should be fairly easy, as we are digging in sand. We will form groups of 3 with one person digging, one person planting, and one person watering and switching out as needed.  Below is a map of the location of where the work will be done.
